Beautiful large cookie box from the Art Deco period. This box is made in Germany about 1920 ( no 478). Made of ceramic and bronze, it has a geometric painting typical of that period. The signature is on its bottom. The box is made of light beige ceramic with light blue and green decoration, which emphasizes the unusual shape. The base is octagonal, towards the interior the shape of the container changes to oval. The transition is marked in green, the oval edge is light blue. Then on the cover the octagonal shape and geometric pattern are repeated again. Due to its age, I rate the condition of the artifact at excelent, despite minor defects. The lid has a barely visible crack, which can be removed by a conservator. However, the fitting stabilizes it and opens without a problem. A small seal is visible on the edge next to the lock. The box is a rare rarity for Art Deco collectors. I found prices of this box no 5478 - Pamono 1147 £, Chairish- 1478 $; so my is much older. Dimensions
