We are Kirsty and Judith; friends first, collectors always. Modernism sits at the centre of what we do. We love its confidence and its sculptural thinking, and the way it refuses to be merely decorative. Brutalism, in particular, has our hearts. Metals are pushed into dramatic forms, and surfaces are emphasised rather than polished away. Much of what we collect is sterling silver. There is gold when we can stretch to it, and costume pieces too, when they are genuinely fabulous.
We are drawn especially to British modernist jewellery: bold, inventive, often radical, and far more extraordinary than it is often given credit for. Our work is about bringing those pieces back into view so they can shine. Our shelves are not limited to one period. Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces regularly find their way into our hands, often because we can see the future already forming inside them. Those early experiments with line, abstraction and structure feel like the roots of everything that comes later, and we love tracing that lineage through time.
Every piece we offer has been chosen because it made us stop and talk about it. We source from auctions, markets and collections across the UK, and sometimes internationally. Instinct plays a part, but as important is research and a lot of conversation between us. What we are really doing is sharing jewellery with thought behind it, and giving work that deserves better visibility the chance to be worn, admired and adored!
