I recently became a single mom of a special boy w Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is 11 and nonverbal. We still are working on potty training. Autism has opened my eyes to a totally different world than I was living when I raised my 3 other children, who are now adults and making this momma very proud.
Everyday is challenging but rewarding.
Unfortunately, due to our communities lack of resources, I cannot work right now and need to take care of everything. I knew leaving a toxic relationship would be difficult but my son and I deserve the best and I have to start somewhere. I will always have Hope for the future and do my very best for this child I was blessed with.
